salad is life

I can’t even remember how many times I have tried to post something about food. Often times I would prepare something, take pictures and decide to post it but for some reason I just never did. However, today is a new day and I am finally going you share with you one of my favorite dishes. It is green, simple, quick to make, super good, in my case not always healthy, though it should be. For who didn’t guess, I am talking about salad.

I honestly can’t imagine a life without it, and I have tried so many different salads, from the normal ones we know to avocado salads, to mango salads, to cabbage salads and so much more. Actually, when moved from the family house I remember that my family was worried that I would starve. Like literally, because they thought that I would only eat salad, however, I proved wrong because you see I love to cook. I won’t deny the fact that I eat a lot of salad, but I definitely eat much more than that and spend many hours in the kitchen.

I am actually happy that the first recipe I get to share with is one of my favorites. I am sure that once you give it a try you will love it. I just know that or at least if you do it correctly. This is going to be the first post about food and I can assure you that many more will follow.

Recipe for 3 people:

The salad:

1 iceberg lettuce

2 tomatoes

¼ (red) onion

Cucumber (the amount you like)

1 carrot

So basically what you do is the following: you wash all the ingredients and then cut them to your liking; except the carrot. You put in a bowl or plate. You grate the carrot, and put it in same bowl/ plate.

The sauce:

3 eggs

¾ (red) onion

1 tsp Parsley

½ salad mix

1 lemon

Black pepper to your liking

Garlic powder, to your liking

Salad or olive oil; to your liking

¾ Maggi block

1 ½ tbsp mayonnaise

Less than ¼ tsp mustard (unless you really like mustard then you can add a little more)

For this sauce, you only first need to cook the eggs for like 10 minutes. You only need the egg yolk, you can add the egg-white to the salad. You need to put the egg yolk in a bowl and mix it, then add the onion blend it together and then add the parsley, the Maggi, black pepper, salad mix, and garlic. Cut the lemon and add the lemon juice, blend it and after that make sure to add the mayonnaise and the mustard once again blend it well after this you just need to add the oil and blend again.
